CUNY TV Wins 21st New York Emmy Award For Animated Opening Sequence Of ‘Shades Of U.S.’

CUNY TV Art Director Adam Finger prevailed in the category of Graphic Arts: Animation for his soulful opening sequence of “Shades of U.S.,” a series that explores the complexities of people’s lives through the prisms of color, race, religion and sexual orientation. Finger’s 30-second animated show opening shines a spotlight on society’s unsung ordinary heroes through statue-like images of culturally diverse individuals engaged in everyday rituals. City Tech picked up an Emmy in the category of Education/Schools: Program Special for “Imported from Brooklyn,” a film that tells the story of renowned typography and graphic designer Tony Di Spigna, a City Tech graduate.

CUNY Expands Digital Skills Curriculum And Creates Student Pipeline For Tech Jobs

The City University of New York has significantly expanded its digital skills curriculum as part of a broad-based effort to produce a steady pipeline of diverse, adaptable, critical thinkers who can thrive in a workplace environment that is increasingly reliant on advanced digital technologies across most sectors of the economy.
